Central and North Burnett Times - - SCHOOL NEWS -

BIGGENDEN State School’s Year 6 students have graduated from primary school and are looking forward to Year 7 in secondary school.

After cutting a cake, they enjoyed eating party food with their parents.

Principal Helen Foulger, who has taken up another position at Mackay for six months before heading to Cairns, congratulated the students.

“During my time at the school, I have seen many positive changes with improvement to facilities, improvement in parent opinions of the school, improvement to NAPLAN results and a developing response to our Big 4 – respect, responsibility, learning and heart,” Ms Foulger said.

“One of the things I have always loved in a small school is the opportunity to really get to know all the children.”
