Christmas carnival to light up Gayndah
SANTA Claus is coming to town. Gayndah’s Christmas Carnival on Friday night will host Santa and his helper, Blazer the Bear.
Starting at 6pm the main street will be filled with rides, games, market stalls and a ham wheel.
Gayndah Chamber of Commerce president Jo Dowling said the evening would be a big street party. “It’s a great family night,” she said. “The businesses are looking forward to giving something back to the community.”
Musical acts Ray Savage, Blake Gannon, Dear Isabel and Ebrentia and AJ will keep the crowd entertained on the main stage.
And a children’s dance off competition will take place with prizes to be won for the best moves.
There will also be photos with Santa for the children.
The Gayndah Development Association’s courtesy award will be announced, as will the Christmas lights winner.
The Chamber of Commerce Christmas raffle will be drawn on the night, with three massive prizes to be won.
