Magic music fills the air at service

THE annual ecumenical Eidsvold Community Carols service was held at St Mark's Anglican Church recently.

The carols were well attended despite other Christmas breakups on the same night.

Anthony Coates, of Eidsvold Station, introduced Reverend Carol Palmer, the new priest who presented a Christmas message.

Therewas a tree aswell as purple floral displays to remind eve- ryone of the pre-Christmas season.

“Itwas inspiring to see families attending with their children,” congregation member Jean Wedemeyer said.

“Small gifts were presented by Rev Carol and glowing candles added to the spirit of the night.”

Margaret Adams accompanied the carols on the organ and the Crilly family returned to Eidsvold from Brisbane to visit family and play tunes and carols on violin, cello and flutes.

“Their beautiful music graced those present with time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping,” Rev Palmer said.

“May Christmas 2012 bring you God’s grace and peace, whatever your circumstances; may it be for you a time of hope, joy, love and peace.”
