Mt Perry woman wins reader comp

Central and North Burnett Times - - LOCAL NEWS -

THE reindeer competition has been won by Mt Perry’s Irene Duda.

More than 140 readers participated in the Central and North Burnett Times competition, but Mrs Duda was the sole entrant from Mt Perry. She ended up with the fantastic prize of two nights’ accommodation at the La Mer apartments in Hervey Bay.

She said cutting out the hidden reindeer was a fun way to spend time with her Sydney-based grandson Logan Kitching, 6, who was spending his holidays in Mt Perry.

“Wewould sit there looking at it, trying to find the smallest one and our perseverance paid off,” Mrs Duda said.

“I’m going to send a copy to my grandson to show we won, he’ll be rapt.

“I was quite surprised because you don’t ever expect to win these things... I love HerveyBay, its going to be absolutely beautiful.”

Mrs Duda said she planned to take her husband on the holiday. But if Logan can make it, Mr Duda might find he has been relegated to staying at home!

The business competition for all those that participated in the reindeer featurewaswon by Salon 47 in Monto.
