Smiling aide finally retires
ST JOSEPH’S Primary School students have been greeted by a smiling Mrs Nott for as long as they can remember.
The retiring teacher aide has been working with students at St Joseph’s for 28 years. The school staff held a special celebration for Janet Nott and presented her with an engraved clock and a huge rainbow card, signed by all the children.
“It’s a magical little school, it’s absolutely brilliant,” Mrs Nott said.
“I can’t quite believe it’s over. I’ve had the most wonderful 28 years.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the staff and the children.”
While it is an end of an era for St Joseph’s school, Mrs Nott will still be a fixture around town. She plans to garden and enjoy patchworking.
