Keep­ing cool in Monto pool

THE Monto pool was the coolest place to be on an­other scorcher of a day yes­ter­day with a top of 39 de­grees.

And tem­per­a­tures are again ex­pected to soar to 40 de­grees at the week­end, and 41 on Mon­day.

There were fast-track lessons for the kids while proud par­ents and grand­par­ents watched their rug rats be­ing happy lit­tle Vegemites.

But the num­ber one goal was to es­cape the heat.

Make the most of the scorchers be­cause be­fore we know it we’ll be rug­ging up against that fa­mous North Bur­nett deep freeze.
