WORSHIPFUL Brother Trevor Larcombe has been rewarded for his 35years of service to the Biggenden Masonic Lodge, with the presentation of a secretary’s jewel.

Presenting the jewel, Right Worshipful Brother Don Dowling said “I trust you will wear it with pride”.

Mr Dowling said Mr Larcombe joined the masonry on April 21, 1977.

“He undertook three degrees before transferring to Ayr through his job with the Queensland Ambulance Service,” he said.

“He returned to Bundaberg in 1986 and hasn’t stopped coming back to his mother lodge, Biggenden, where he was the worshipful master in 1994 and 1995.”

In recognition of her help and support with catering at monthly meet- ings and installations, Mr Larcombe’s wife Hazel was presented with a framed certificate and bouquet of flowers.

Mr Larcombe said he was overwhelmed with the generosity. He described his wife as “his backbone for 54 years”.

“I am appreciative of the fact everyone understands the situation and why I resigned,” he said.
