Tour looks at road worries
FIRSTLY, let me wish everybody a happy and successful New Year.
I hope 2013 will see good things come to the North Burnett.
Congratulations to the Biggenden Chamber of Commerce on the magnificent fireworks display they organised at Paradise Dam on New Year’s Eve.
It entertained a large crowd and I am sure will be even bigger next year.
Councillors will be going on a tour of roads and waste disposal facilities later in the month to prepare for road works in the next budget.
Please talk to your councillors about your concerns.
At present council is dealing with another bat invasion in the grounds of St. Joseph’s School in Gayndah.
Council officers and local residents have given of their time to combat this menace.
As a result the bats have relocated to the river bed and moves will be made to move them further.
The black bats are still in the trees on the bank and we will move them on as soon as we are able. Many thanks to those helpers. I will be moving around the region with the intention of meeting as many people as possible.
I amonly to happy to make an appointment to meet anyone interested. Just give me a call and we will arrange a time. My phone number is 0458 696 272.
