TALK­ING News is a long run­ning com­mu­nity pro­gram sup­ported by Mun­dub­bera Com­mu­nity Devel­op­ment As­so­ci­a­tion.

This ser­vice is pro­vided by vol­un­teers who read the pa­per onto tape and for­ward it to clients each week.

This pro­gram has been de­liv­er­ing the news in au­dio for­mat from the Cen­tral and North Bur­nett Times to per­sons with a sight im­ped­i­ment for al­most 20 years.

Clients re­ceive au­dio tapes weekly through a ser­vice of­fered by Aus­tralia Post.

The ser­vice is avail­able to any­one who has a dis­abil­ity and re­quires as­sis­tance to keep in­formed of the di­verse news items cov­ered by the Cen­tral and North Bur­nett times each week.

Clients in­clude peo­ple liv­ing in the Cen­tral and North Bur­nett and oth­er­swho have moved away but still pre­fer to keep in­formed of events in the re­gion.
