Re­search and devel­op­ment • $148mil­lion – value of QGC in­vest­ment in re­search and devel­op­ment in water man­age­ment, com­mu­nity re­search, en­vi­ron­ment, coal seam gas and drilling.

In the six months to Septem­ber QGC has: • let 255 con­tracts (150 to Queens­land com­pa­nies, 85 to Aus­tralian firms in other states and 20 to in­ter­na­tional busi­nesses) • contributed to seven lo­cal busi­ness fo­rums with

cham­bers of com­merce and in­dus­try groups

• reached an au­di­ence of 6,595 busi­ness rep­re­sen­ta­tives • re­ceived 18,932 ex­pres­sions of in­ter­est

to pro­vide goods and ser­vices

• spent $3.4 bil­lion (80% in Aus­tralia and 65% in Queens­land) • launched a QCLNG­page in the In­dus­try Ca­pa­bil­ity Net­work Gate­way and a ded­i­cated email ad­dress for lo­cal busi­ness in­quiries; and • launched an on­line reg­is­tra­tion for po­ten­tial

sup­plier, re­ceiv­ing 96 en­tries.
