A COUPLE of Monto kids can hardly wait to start university.

Luke Titmarsh and Tamara Allen received OPs of 7 and 6 respectively, and they have enrolled at CQUniversity Rockhampton.

Luke is set to study a double degree of Bachelor of Engineering and Diploma of Professional Practice. Tamara will study psychology. Luke said he would rent a unit in Rockhampton with his brother.

“I will study either mechanical or medical engineering and I am definitely excited,” he said.

He said his message to this year’s crop of Year 12 students was to listen to their teachers and not to procrastinate.

Tamara will be living on campus and said she was keen to start her studies.

She said she bought her text books as soon as the offer arrived. “I am really excited,” she said. “It will be a pleasant change from Monto.

“I have the text books, but don’t quite know what work is involved just yet.”
