THE new year went off with a bang with the fireworks display at Paradise Dam.
The display, presented by the Biggenden Chamber of Commerce, was a huge success and is set to become a much anticipated annual event.
We would like to thank all the local businesses that sponsored the event including Bendigo Bank, Biggenden Foodworks, Trek 4WD Safaris, Grand Hotel, Biggenden Butchery, Cr Lofty Wendt, Biggenden Newsagency, Mingo Crossing Recreational Area, Harry’s Kayak Adventures, Community Solutions, Biggenden Pharmacy and Paradise Dam Recreational Area.
Coming up, we’re looking forward to the CMCA solos visiting town soon and there will be more information in the next chamber meeting.
The event will be looking for people to help out with bus tours and setup of marquees etc.
I’d like to wish you all a safe and enjoyable Australia Day.
I’ll be kept busy at the Mingo Crossing Family Fun in the Sun Day.
Everyone is welcome and I hope to see you there!
The chamber had a much deserved break over the Christmas holidays.
As the chamber is almost com- pletely setup we just need everyone to attend the next meeting to finalise constitutional matters so we can make this year a great year.
The next meeting will be held at the Memorial Hall onWednesday, February 13, at 5.30pm.
As always, new members are more than welcome.
