Mun­dub­bera butcher chas­ing sausage crown

MUN­DUB­BERA Butcher­ing Co’s Tim and Robyn Dug­gan will be far from home on Fe­bru­ary 9 when their tra­di­tional Aus­tralian pork sausages com­pete with the na­tion’s best for the ti­tle of Aus­tralia’s Sausage King in Perth.

En­trants are judged on a range of cri­te­ria in­clud- ing ap­pear­ance, aroma, tex­ture and flavour.

Six na­tional crowns will be awarded, in tra­di­tional Aus­tralian, tra­di­tional Aus­tralian pork, poul­try, Aus­tralian lamb/ open class, con­ti­nen­tal and gourmet/open class.

Each year the com­pe­ti­tion at­tracts about 500 en­trants.
