VETERANS nine-hole stroke competition had 15 players. Winner was Di Baker with 27½ nett and runner-up was Jan Bourke with 29 nett. The pinshot on 5 went to Bev Emmerton and Jean Havlik won the putting competition.
Thursday’s Sporters nine-hole stroke had 28 players. Jason McCosker won with 24 ½ nett, Rita Alsemgeest was first runner-up with 25 nett and Trevor Slack was second runner-up with 25 nett. Pinshots; 3/12 Bev Emmerton, 5/14 Rob Randall, 7/ 16 Jason McCosker. Jason McCosker won putting comp with 12 putts.
Saturday’s weekend summer nine-hole stableford, with 15 golfers, was the last of the summer comp days. Phill Duncan won with a score of 23 points. Jim Edwards was the runner-up with 20 points. Pinshots; 1/10 Di Baker, 3/12 Trevor Slack, 5/ 14 Megan Roth, 78/16 Phill Duncan.
The January monthly medal 18-hole event will take place January 27 with a hit off time of 12.30pm.
The monthly meeting will take place at 7.30pm Monday. An opening day 18-hole two-ball ambrose welcomes players on February 9 with a 12.30pm hit-off.
