Colts feel the sting of de­feat

MUN­DUB­BERA Stingers proved dom­i­nant with both bat and ball as they de­feated Colts at the week­end.

The Colts were all out for 192 runs in re­ply to Stingers’ score of four for 452.

Cameron Brauer had a blin­der, top scor­ing with 170 not out and tak­ing five wick­ets for 18.

Troy Voss added 77 runs to Stingers’ to­tal and Brad Sut­cliffe not only proved valu­able as a bats­man by scor­ing 69, but also took three wick­ets.

The two bats­men at the crease when Colts com­pleted their 40 overs were Brauer and Brad Bee­z­ley on 45.

Jamie Darby was the best bowler with fig­ures of two for 42 while Stephen Al­lan took one wicket for 21 runs.

Darby was also Colts’ best bats­man on the day scor­ing 45 runs. Sonny Cross’s 31was the only other re­spectable to­tal for the Colts who were all out af­ter only 28.2 overs.
