Colts feel the sting of defeat
MUNDUBBERA Stingers proved dominant with both bat and ball as they defeated Colts at the weekend.
The Colts were all out for 192 runs in reply to Stingers’ score of four for 452.
Cameron Brauer had a blinder, top scoring with 170 not out and taking five wickets for 18.
Troy Voss added 77 runs to Stingers’ total and Brad Sutcliffe not only proved valuable as a batsman by scoring 69, but also took three wickets.
The two batsmen at the crease when Colts completed their 40 overs were Brauer and Brad Beezley on 45.
Jamie Darby was the best bowler with figures of two for 42 while Stephen Allan took one wicket for 21 runs.
Darby was also Colts’ best batsman on the day scoring 45 runs. Sonny Cross’s 31was the only other respectable total for the Colts who were all out after only 28.2 overs.
