MONTO Kinder­garten has re­ceived $172,000 to bring the cen­tre up to scratch.

Pro­ject of­fi­cer and kinder­garten di­rec­tor Karla Gal­loway said im­prove­ments in­cluded work to the play­ground.

Builder Gra­ham Aisthorpe has been ap­pointed pro­ject con­trac­tor and ad­vi­sor.

“Some of the im­prove­ments in­clude a new di­vid­ing fence and work to be done for a new tank in the out­side play­ground,” Mrs Gal­loway said.

“In­side there will be built in cup­boards and the toi­let and bath­room will be re­fur­bished.”

“There will be limited in­con­ve­nience dur­ing the con­struc­tion phase as­work is re­stricted to Mon­days and Fri­days and the four week break in June will be used for a large por­tion of the con­struc­tion work.”

The Monto Kinder­garten Com­mit­tee thanked Mrs Gal­loway for her­work in se­cur­ing the fund­ing from the state and fed­eral gov­ern­ments.
