Distance no problem
YOUNG athletes have hit the links for cross country.
The Gayndah District Cross Country was held at Gayndah Golf Course last Friday.
Parents, teachers and students lined the fairway of the first hole to cheer on the runners.
Gayndah State School were the overall winners of the day, with Madelyn Scanlan and Callum Evans hoisting the shield on behalf of their school mates.
The first five place get- ters from 10 years to 12 years will take part in trials next Friday.
The North Burnett Primary and Secondary Cross Country trials take place in Biggenden.
