MONTO’S Quilting Club is showing its caring spirit.

The group has a yearly fundraiser for cancer at Ridgehaven Retirement Complex.

The morning tea will take place on Monday, May 20, at the Monto Sporting Complex starting 9.30am with a $5 entry fee.

Brad McInally from Monto Cattle and Country will be auctioning items.

Club president Lorna Dingle said the group had been running the event for about 10 years with all items made and donated by the Quilters Club.

“A lot of effort is required in quilting, originally we ran this just as a cancer fundraiser but then we included Ridgehaven as they have some cancer patients and you nev- er know when you might need to use their services,” she said.

“We have already donated a quilt to BlazeAid which they auctioned to raise funds for their work.

“All items to be auctioned are on display at the shopfront next to Stitch n Stash.”

For more information, phone Lorna Dingle 4167 5130.
