Our lost sons

Central and North Burnett Times - - OPINION -

TOMORROW is 10 years since the death of Aaron Aberdein at the Mundubbera Show, the day before Mother's Day.

Even at the age of 16 and a half hewas a much-loved and respected member of the community who left a lasting impression. What heights he could have achieved, nobody knows. But no doubt he would have done it to the best of his ability with that mischievous smile and grin he was renowned for.

So on Sunday please remember those mums who have lost young sons in the past year. During a quiet time please pass on a silent hug to them.

While flowers, chocolates and cards symbolise one's love and appreciation on Mother's Day, a hug from a loved one is truly a gift from the heart.
