Smaller yarding at Wednesday sale
THEWednesday sale at Monto had a smaller yarding of 220 head of store cattle.
There was mixed quality yarding with local restockers active.
A line of better types of No 2 Droughtmaster steers from Peter and Desiree Hindmarsh sold to 161.2 or $485.
JasonWyatte’s 385kg steers sold for 148c/kg or $570. Stephen Dederer, Lawgi yarded Charbray steers to sell for 150.2c/kg to return $530.
Good types of Charbray weaner steers from John Cahalane, Mungungo sold for 168.2 or $485 to local restocker Alan Peardon.
LS and JE Blows “Lorna Vale” Ubobo sold Brahman weaner steers to Bob Dillon for 163.2c/kg or $405.
Stephen Dederer’s Brahman No 2 heifers sold for 134.2 to return $440. G and D McLaughlan yarded Droughtmaster No 2 heifers to sell for 136.2 or $324.
Lighter weaner heifers from CK and C Leighton sold for $267 while Tierry and Amanda Deviller’s yarded Santa heifers to sell for 130c/kg or $355.
Monto’s next Fortnightly Fat and Store sale will be May 15.
