Smaller yard­ing at Wed­nes­day sale

THEWed­nes­day sale at Monto had a smaller yard­ing of 220 head of store cat­tle.

There was mixed qual­ity yard­ing with lo­cal re­stock­ers ac­tive.

A line of bet­ter types of No 2 Drought­mas­ter steers from Peter and De­siree Hind­marsh sold to 161.2 or $485.

Ja­sonWy­atte’s 385kg steers sold for 148c/kg or $570. Stephen Ded­erer, Lawgi yarded Char­bray steers to sell for 150.2c/kg to re­turn $530.

Good types of Char­bray weaner steers from John Ca­ha­lane, Mun­gungo sold for 168.2 or $485 to lo­cal re­stocker Alan Pear­don.

LS and JE Blows “Lorna Vale” Ubobo sold Brah­man weaner steers to Bob Dil­lon for 163.2c/kg or $405.

Stephen Ded­erer’s Brah­man No 2 heifers sold for 134.2 to re­turn $440. G and D McLaugh­lan yarded Drought­mas­ter No 2 heifers to sell for 136.2 or $324.

Lighter weaner heifers from CK and C Leighton sold for $267 while Tierry and Amanda Deviller’s yarded Santa heifers to sell for 130c/kg or $355.

Monto’s next Fort­nightly Fat and Store sale will be May 15.
