MONTO ladies bowlers Jean Jasch and Bron­wyn Tor­rens com­peted in the Bur­nett Dis­trict Ladies Bowl­ing As­so­ci­a­tion Pairs com­pe­ti­tion in Goomeri.

Play­ers must be mem­bers of the Bur­nett Dis­trict and are free to nom­i­nate to play with other Bur­nett play­ers, they don’t need to be from the same club.

Teams trav­elled to Goomeri for the Bur­nett Dis­trict Ladies Bowl­ing As­so­ci­a­tion Pairs com­pe­ti­tion from nu­mer­ous clubs in the dis­trict, in­clud­ing Kin­garoy, Yar­ra­man, Wondai, Mur­gon, Tansey, Goomeri, Monto and Bin­jour.

All teams played three games on day one.

From those games, the four teams with best scores moved in to the semi-fi­nals.

Day two had semi win­ner­sNola Dar­ling­ton and Ann Faulkner (Bin­jour Club) and Bron­wyn Tor­rens and Jean Jasch (Monto Club) play for the fi­nal tro­phy.

The fi­nal was a great match. The vic­tors were Bron­wyn Tor­rens and Jean Jasch with a score 25-15.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to all those play­ers who took part.

Play­ers head to the State Bowls Dis­trict Sides com­pe­ti­tion on the Sun­shine Coast from May 8–11.

Nola, Ann and Bron­wyn have been se­lected as part of the Bur­nett Dis­trict Ladies side to com­pete.
