Keepsake captures flood’s ferocity
REMEMBER the 2013 flood through images and stories of those who endured it.
TheNorth Burnett Flood Book is a 96-page commemorative book containing hundreds of flood photos from throughout the region.
A book launch will be held in each town, starting with the Rise and Shine concert in Gayndah this Friday from 4pm to 8pm.
A five night holiday on Fraser Island donated by Cathedrals on Fraser will be up for grabs at the Mundubbera launch on Saturday.
There will be two holiday packages to Coco Bay Resort in Noosaville given away the during other book launches throughout the Central and North Burnett.
As well as the holidays, there are great prizes to be won at the launches including a family pass to Australia Zoo and Blue Dog goods.
The flood book is comprehen- sive and covers all towns of the Central and North Burnett.
The 2013 flood was unlike any ever experienced before.
It has shaped lives and forever changed the people in this region.
The book is a keepsake to remind us how ferocious the flood was and the damage it caused.
And, in future years, it will amaze readers with how far the Central and North Burnett has recovered and moved forward from the event.
