Show society gives out life memberships
FIVE Biggenden residents were recognised on Tuesday with life memberships of the Biggenden Show Society.
Col Barnard, Lil Binstead and Heather Trigger, now residents of the Biggenden Multi Purpose Health Service, were overjoyed with the acknowledgment – especially when it also meant free entry to this weekend’s show.
Family members who had travelled from as far away as Adelaide and Canberra were there to share the moment.
Others acknowledged were Ray Hutchinson and Trevor Randall, who today works tirelessly for the committee around show time.
In acknowledging and remembering some of thework of these members, Show Society president Darren Geissler said show societies were built with a small number of people, all with a common goal.
“It is people like you who built this solid foundation for today’s committee,” Mr Geissler said.
“For us to have these facilities today, credit must go to these life members.”
