Snags benefit region
THE Biggenden State School Student Council last term decided to fundraise for those unfortunate enough to have lost property in the January floods.
Their idea of assisting was to hold a sausage sizzle each Friday for students.
Recently, from their efforts, $700 covering three cheques was presented to Biggenden RSL Sub-Branch, BlazeAid and North Burnett Flood Appeal.
Biggenden Butchery, which supported the fundraiser, was presented with a framed certificate and gift as a thank you.
THANK YOU: Kyle Zelinski, on behalf of the Biggenden Butchery, accepts a certificate of appreciation and a gift from Biggenden State School principal Ros Rackemann for its sausage sizzles in support of flood relief.
HELPING: BlazeAid’s Jim Cunliffe accepts a cheque from Biggenden State School principal Ros Rackemann for the group's work in the area.
