STANDING on the sidelines and drinking a tinnie, Allan Langer looked at home in Gayndah.

The Little General was in town to watch the Gladiators take on the Eidsvold Eagles.

And the crowd made the most of having rugby league royalty in their midst, with everyone eager to have their photo taken.

Langer casually circulated among the local fans, stopping to have a yarn and sign shirts.

“You’re a bloody legend,” Adrian Priest told Langer as he grabbed him around the shoulders for a photo.

Unfortunately for the Gladiators, Langer’s presence did not help them get a win.

But Langer said he enjoyed watching the grassroots footy.

“It was a tough game,” Langer said.

He congratulated the Eidsvold players for their performance, and encouraged the Gladiators for their grit. After the game, Langer headed to the Golden Orange Hotel to enjoy a beer and barbecue with the local punters.
