THE spate of crime in Monto has continued, with more businesses targeted on Sunday.

Between midnight and 5am, one business was broken into, with damage done and cash stolen.

A vehicle was damaged at another business.

Monto police have charged a 15-year-old Bundaberg boy with break and enter and wilful damage.

Police alleged the boy had been at a party at the show grounds and was drunk.

Hewas released on bail to his parents.

Monto Police Sergeant Werner Crous said the boy would not say who was with him, but police believed he could not have been alone in the crime.

“With that much damage he must have been working in a team. I urge anyone with any information on 15 to 18-year-olds entering the town centre or access roads to please contact Monto Police,” Sgt Crous said.

“Police see no link between this and other recent break and enters. This was on impulse while the others were planned.

“I can’t believe the cavalier attitude to alcohol in society, particularly regarding minors.

“I am amazed there were no noise complaints about this party.”
