Cho­rus Rose from the ashes of a fire Born with only one de­sire BlazeAid Lend a help­ing hand, do what you can For the folk on the land, BlazeAid 1st verse The true grit of Aus­tralia Stirs deep within their souls As they stand shoul­der to shoul­der Just to work and give it a go In the af­ter­math of tragedy When the fires and floods are gone Th­ese men and women of BlazeAid Our strength to carry on Cho­rus 2nd verse God bless this band of vol­un­teers With­out them we wouldn’t sur­vive In this land of chang­ing sea­sons They touch so many lives With out­stretched hands where needed most They never turn away So tip your hat in hon­our mate To th­ese an­gels of BlazeAid Cho­rus Wilf El­liott April 2, 2013
