MONTO Cattle & Country yarded 260 head for their fortnightly fat and store sale. Shane and Helen Mossman, Yalwarra Ubobo consigned 40 brahman eight-tooth Bullocks weighing 536–650kg and sold 131–136.2 c/kg. The heavy bullocks returned $890. Bayly Grazing Co, Thangool sold 520kg droughtie cross cows to 116c/kg or $605. Roy Marbach’s No 2 brahman heifers 420kg sold to $530 or 126c/kg. Charbray cross No 2 steers 390kg sold to 133c/kg or $520. DC Wyatte sold red brahman No 2 steers for 140c/kg or $495. And 300kg weaner euro cross steers, Acc Spelta Grazing sold to 150c/kg or $450. P & A Kirkwood, Nestorvale sold quality weaner braford steers for 168c/kg or $365. The Kerr family, Bancroft sold charbray steers 230kg to 162c/kg or $375. Spade Pastoral consigned high grade brahman steers 200kg to return $355. Matt and Rowena Clarke’s No 2 droughtie heifers 320kg sold to 130c/kg or $420. Spleta Grazing’s euro cross weaner heifers returned $355 at 125c/kg average. Neville Mossman, Ellisfield, Ubobo sold 40 No 2 and 3 droughtie brahman cross weaner heifers from 122 to 132c/kg, to average 128 or $290. Next fat and store sale Wednesday, May 29, followed by the annual store cattle showand sale on Wednesday, June 12, at 10am, with 500 head booked.
