Patterson chops his way to victory
A SPECIAL woodchop was added last year to the Mundubbera Show program in memory of Kelvin James who lost his life to leukemia in March 2012.
Parents Graham and Glenda and sister Regina have honoured his memory with the Kelvin James Memorial Shield Woodchop.
It was decided to make it a 300mm standing block handicap because this was Kelvin’s strongest event. This year it was won by Harry Patterson, from Springsure, who received a trophy and $600 prize money donated by the James family.
“It is a very prestigious event and was well contested,” show volunteer Megan Dingle said.
