We all have a story

Central and North Burnett Times - - WELCOME -

AS EDITOR of the Central and North Burnett Times, the great and often wonderful open spaces in the region throw up some unique challenges for people wanting to capture it all in a few news pages.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate my team of journalists on their hard work, as they file stories and photographs from all corners of the region.

From the police in Monto and Gayndah, to some of our award-winning butchers and the BlazeAid teams, everyone has a story to tell and I consider it a privilege when it is shared in our newspaper pages.

My team – George Smith in Monto, Erica Murree in Biggenden, Brandon Livesay in Gayndah and Sue Harris in Mundubbera – are four of the most committed journalists I have ever worked with.

They take incredible pride in their towns and do a fantastic job for the wider community.

As a newspaper we are committed to bringing you the breaking news in the region, as well as highlight the achievements of local residents and students.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we do hope you enjoy your new Central and North Burnett Times.

Remember it is your newspaper, and the contribution from the community makes the Central and North Burnett Times what it is today.
