A SMALL group of volunteers did an impressive job of picking up roadside rubbish at Mundubbera’s Clean-Up Australia Day on Sunday.

As usual, the local Lions Club organised the clean-up which was scheduled to be held earlier in the year but delayed because cleaning up after the flood took priority.

Council QGAP worker Penny Emery helped out and was not surprised by fewer volunteers.

“Since the flood our community has undertaken more than its usual number of clean-up activities this year,” she said.
