MONTO’S crime prob­lem con­tin­ued last week.

On Thurs­day night two males, aged 61 and 27, broke into a res­i­dence in Kelvin St. They stole a dog and caused dam­age to the prop­erty.

The men also hit a res­i­dence in Boyle St, dam­ag­ing five panels of a french door.

Po­lice ar­rested both men and they will ap­pear in Biloela Lo­cal Court in June.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent on Satur­day, mem­bers of the pub­lic alerted po­lice to the pres­ence of a 23-year-old male and a 14-year-old ju­ve­nile on the grounds of Monto State School.

The male will ap­pear in Monto court in July while the ju­ve­nile was dealt with un­der the Ju­ve­nile Jus­tice Act.

Monto Po­lice said no pub­lic ac­cess was per­mit­ted on school grounds un­less au­tho­rised.

On Sun­day, Monto Po­lice in­ter­cepted a 61-year-old Eidsvold male on a mo­tor bike on the Bur­nett Hwy. The man was trav­el­ling at 154kph and un­li­censed. He re­ceived a $1600 fine.
