Lodge generosity boosts our health response

Central and North Burnett Times - - AROUND TOWN -

MUNDUBBERA Hospital Auxiliary recently hosted an afternoon tea at the Mundubbera Health Service to thank Mundubbera-Burnett Masonic Lodge members for their donation of $30,000.

The donation helped to fund life-saving equipment - a heart monitor and an ultra-sound unit.

When the Mundubbera-Burnett Lodge closed and its building was sold, the Brethren called for suggestions from community groups as to how best to use the available funds.

Many groups met with Lodge members and several donations were made but the majority of the funds were donated to the health service.

DON Jan-Adele Hotz recommended the purchase of equipment she felt was essential to the health of North Burnett residents.
