More to flood book than great photos
Businesses support souvenir publication with donations
GOLDEN stars have been hidden inside six of the North Burnett Flood Books distributed to each North Burnett council office – one for each town.
Each person who finds a star will go in the draw to win a two-night family holiday in a luxury three-bedroom apartment at Plantation Resort at Rainbow Beach.
A two-night holiday at Coco Bay Noosa Resort and two-nights at Kingfisher Bay Resort, Fraser Island, will also be up for grabs in the coming weeks, along with other great prizes including family passes to UnderWater World and Blue Dog goods.
All prizes have been donated to celebrate the launch of the North Burnett Flood Book.
“We just can’t believe the generosity of the donations,” Linda Silburn, BIEDO CEO, said.
A five-night family holiday to Cathedrals on Fraser Island, two nights at Coco Bay Noosa Resort and two nights at Elements on Coolum have already been claimed during book launch events.
“We wanted to value each North Burnett town; which is why we officially launched the book in each town and did something a little different in each place,” BIEDO Flood Book co-ordinator Amanda Wenck said.
“From vintage displays and mocktails, to man auctions and tug-o-wars, we had a great time and were very blessed to be able to co-ordinate with existing community events.”
With the launches now over, the flood book can be purchased over-the-counter from any North Burnett council office.
The book is $40, with all proceeds helping to fund services for businesses, farmers and primary producers in the North Burnett.
For those lucky enough to come across a golden star, they simply need to phone the BIEDO office on 4169 7851 with the code on the back of their star to be in the holiday draw.
