MONTO Com­mu­nity Kinder­garten is in the process of ma­jor ren­o­va­tions as a re­sult of fund­ing from the State and Com­mon­wealth Gov­ern­ments.

Builder Gra­ham Aisthorpe has been ap­pointed pro­ject con­trac­tor and ad­vi­sor. This will sup­port Monto Kinder­garten to con­tinue to meet the in­fra­struc­ture stan­dards for ed­u­ca­tion and care un­der the new National Qual­ity Frame­work.

Im­prove­ments in­clude a new in­te­rior play area and toi­lets be­ing re­fur­bished in the up­com­ing school hol­i­days.

Ross Gersekowski is con­tracted for cab­i­netry work in the in­side bath­room and toi­lets.

Work is not con­fined to in­side. There will be a dry creek bed as part of im­prove­ments to the out­door play area.

The Monto Kinder­garten Com­mit­tee thanks Karla Gal­loway for her work in sub­mit­ting a suc­cess­ful ap­pli­ca­tion and thanks the State and Com­mon­wealth Gov­ern­ments for pro­vid­ing $172,000 in fund­ing.
