Getting on with the job
MOST country folk don’t let adversity get in their way.
The Teebar Sports Association could have thrown in the towel and called off last Saturday’s event when their grounds were devastated by the January 26 floods.
But no, after initial help from volunteers and a number of working bees with 20 people who had left their own devastation behind to come give a helping hand, it was all systems go.
On Saturday patrons poured through the gates to head to the rodeo arena or to browse through the hall where they were astounded by the photograph display showing how high and far floodwaters had come.
To all volunteers, give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done.
