TEEBAR’S Miss Showgirl Corinne Rockemer would like to encourage more young people to have a say in their local show.

The 20-year-old was sashed the winner at Saturday’s show and said she was very excited and proud.

“I hope I can do everyone proud,” she said.

Corinne is the third generation of the Rockemer family to be involved in the annual show and rodeo.

The pharmacist’s assistant loves the rural life, having grown up on her parent’s property at Teebar, but now lives at Kilcoy.

Runner up was Eden Bartlett and Miss Personality was Brianna Hynes.

Judges Leesa Sharps, Sarah Aberdein and Kylie Svensson, of Biggenden, said they had a hard decision and all three would make a great ambassador for the area.

Last year’s Miss Showgirl, Jessica Zelow, presented sashes.
