Origin frustration typical of second rate service

STATE of Origin game two, what a match! Well, hopefully it was a spectacle and not a dud because I wrote this on Tuesday.

I had grand plans of being at Suncorp Stadium, cheering on the mighty Maroons.

The day tickets went on sale I had the website loaded.

I was hammering away at the refresh screen page 15 minutes before tickets went on sale – just in case.

The time edged closer and my credit card got ready to take a hit like Nate Myles’ abnormally large head.

And then it happened, the page changed.

But instead of giving me tickets it said event sold out.

Brisbane internet is faster than Gayndah’s apparently.

It’s time regional Australia’s communication network was brought up to par with the cities.

It’s not just our slower and more expensive internet; it’s our complete lack of adequate mobile coverage.

Missing out on Origin tickets is annoying.

Having no mobile phone reception in an emergency situation is unacceptable.
