U12 player gains se­lec­tion to play in the Zone 1 Vic Jensen Car­ni­val

QUAL­ITY football play­ers con­tinue to rise through the ranks of the Cen­tral and North Bur­nett Brumbies.

Liam Kenny is the lat­est Brumbies foot­baller to im­press se­lec­tors.

He will rep­re­sent Wide Bay next week.

The un­der-12 player will head to Stan­thorpe to play in the Zone 1 Vic Jensen Car­ni­val.

Kenny gained se­lec­tion af­ter play­ing in the North Bur­nett U11 team in the Wide Bay tri­als held in May.

In other ju­nior football re­sults, the U14s faced a tough op­po­si­tion in Cher­bourg. The Brumbies lost 64–10 at Gayn­dah Sports Ground, the team hav­ing lost sev­eral play­ers over the school hol­i­day pe­riod.

Wil­liam Waugh and Matt Em­mer­ton scored tries and Ke­dron Poin­ton kicked one con­ver­sion.

The U16 Brumbies con­tin­ued their siz­zling form to de­feat Cher­bourg 44–12.

Bai­ley Kim­ber scored three tries, Tyler West scored two tries, Josh Robert­son and Ben Kenny scored a try each.

Ben Kenny was on tar­get and kicked six goals.
