U12 player gains selection to play in the Zone 1 Vic Jensen Carnival
QUALITY football players continue to rise through the ranks of the Central and North Burnett Brumbies.
Liam Kenny is the latest Brumbies footballer to impress selectors.
He will represent Wide Bay next week.
The under-12 player will head to Stanthorpe to play in the Zone 1 Vic Jensen Carnival.
Kenny gained selection after playing in the North Burnett U11 team in the Wide Bay trials held in May.
In other junior football results, the U14s faced a tough opposition in Cherbourg. The Brumbies lost 64–10 at Gayndah Sports Ground, the team having lost several players over the school holiday period.
William Waugh and Matt Emmerton scored tries and Kedron Pointon kicked one conversion.
The U16 Brumbies continued their sizzling form to defeat Cherbourg 44–12.
Bailey Kimber scored three tries, Tyler West scored two tries, Josh Robertson and Ben Kenny scored a try each.
Ben Kenny was on target and kicked six goals.
