STORE cat­tle had solid gains at Monto Cat­tle and Coun­try’s Fort­nightly Fat and Store sale.

Falls of three to six inches of rain helped steady num­bers.

Pro­ces­sor rates re­mained the same, but prime heifers were stronger.

Cat­tle were drawn from Eidsvold, Monto and Har­rami districts.

Bulls sold from 100c/kg to top at 143c/kg.

Tom and San­dra Clarke sold drought­mas­ter bul­locks 622kg for 161c/kg or $1005.

SM Schimke sold drought­mas­ter trade steers to 170c/kg or $830.

Bill and Kath Dow sold bel­mont red bul­locks 612kg to 158c/kg.

Ian Git­sham sold grain as­sisted brah­man and santa trade steers to 163c/kg.

Paul and Mia Fran­cis yarded droughtie cross cows to re­turn 128c/kg or $618.

Tom and San­dra Clarke’s drought­mas­ter cows sold to 130c/kg or $670.

Harry Ball con­signed brah­man cows to re­alise $570 or 125c/kg.

SM Schimke sold drought­mas­ter cross trade heifers 420kg to 164c/kg or $692.

JD and EJ Muir­head sold two-tooth brah­man heifers for 164c/kg or $630 and four tooths to 128c/kg.

Odd sin­gle heifers sold from 160c to 170c/kg.

Ja­son Barnard con­signed a run of droughtie char­bray cross No 2 and 3 steers.

The No 2 steers sold to 167c/kg and 170c/kg or $670, while the No 3 about 300kg sold from 142c to 163c/kg.

Glenda Dahtler sold bran­gus No 3 steers 280kg for $405 and then sold 340kg drought­mas­ter No 3 heifers to 151c/kg or $512.

John and Peg James sold bran­gus No 3 heifers to $495 or 150c/kg.

Gor­don Brian’s charo­lais weaner heifers sold for $495 or 157c/kg.

Andrew and Tracey Cur­rie sold bran­gus and char­bray No 2 and 3 heifers for 135c/kg and 145c/kg. Ja­son Barnard’s here­ford cross heifers sold to 140c/kg or $310.
