Young Brumbies prov­ing to be big im­provers

THEY’RE a team which truly rep­re­sents the Cen­tral Bur­nett re­gion as they take on South Bur­nett clubs each Satur­day.

And the Cen­tral Bur­nett Brumbies un­der-12s cer­tainly showed the Mur­gon Mus­tangs what they’re made of last weekend with a 44-22 vic­tory at Mun­dub­bera.

Brumbies coach War­ren Kenny said his side came from all across the Cen­tral Bur­nett to take on the Mus­tangs.

“They’re mainly from Gayn­dah and Mun­dub­bera but we’ve got a few play­ers from Eidsvold and one from Biggen­den and even Coal­stoun Lakes,” he said.

“We only train once a week be­cause it’s a big drain on them get­ting here.”

De­spite the lack of train­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties to get a chance to gel to­gether, Kenny said they were start­ing to do ex­actly that on the field.
