Young Brumbies proving to be big improvers
THEY’RE a team which truly represents the Central Burnett region as they take on South Burnett clubs each Saturday.
And the Central Burnett Brumbies under-12s certainly showed the Murgon Mustangs what they’re made of last weekend with a 44-22 victory at Mundubbera.
Brumbies coach Warren Kenny said his side came from all across the Central Burnett to take on the Mustangs.
“They’re mainly from Gayndah and Mundubbera but we’ve got a few players from Eidsvold and one from Biggenden and even Coalstoun Lakes,” he said.
“We only train once a week because it’s a big drain on them getting here.”
Despite the lack of training opportunities to get a chance to gel together, Kenny said they were starting to do exactly that on the field.

“They didn’t know each other’s names before the start of the season but the big difference now is they’ve started to gel together.”
