Central and North Burnett Times - - GAYNDAH SHOW - Shirley Way

GOOD weather, green grass, a new cool shaded area, lots of stalls and smiling faces...

“Everything will be great for Gayndah’s 100th show,” show society president Cam Polzin said.

Making a welcome return this year are the woodchopping and poultry events, along with firm favourites, the ring events, dog show and dog jumping.

Come along and cheer a team in the Young Farmer’s Challenge as they shave balloons, throw citrus, flip or roll a tyre or compete in a wheelbarrow barrel race.

Entries are welcome for new competitions – like the kids’ pet-bird competition – and your most loved and worn-out hat or boots can compete for a prize in the buggered hats and boots competition.

“We’ve put in a little bit extra, something different this year,” Mr Polzin said.

Garden guru TomWyatt will provide gardening tips and Laughter4U will host Gayndah’s first Laugh In.

There’s plenty of family fun with a circus stunt and fire shows, Wide Bay laser skirmish and a tie-dying workshop with Jacq.

For a rousing finish, there will be fireworks and The Sunny Cowgirls and Jonny Taylor to entertain the crowd. Come one, come all, come to the show!
