Making miracles happen for sick kids
MADONNA, Joan Jett and Suzie Q have rocked out in Mundubbera to raise money for charity.
Employees at the pharmacy and IGA donned their wildest outfits for the Mater Little Miracles Fundraisers.
Rock stars sold cupcakes and biscuits for $1 last Friday for the charity, which looks after sick babies and children.
Pharmacy assistant Nadine McLennan said the pharmacy took part in the fundraiser every year and everybody was keen to dig their rock star outfits out of their wardrobes.
“There are so many little babies that have heart conditions when they are born and have other problems, they really do need attention and by raising money it helps to support them.”
Pharmacy assistant Ashlee Eisel impressed with her Madonna costume, but said it was unlikely to become a regular look.
“I was looking through eBay and came across the costume,” she said. “It’s all about the hair.” As of Friday afternoon, Mundubbera Pharmacy had raised $189.65 and was still collecting donations.
