Golfers play through
GOLFERS braved the wet to take to the course at the Mitre 10 Mundubbera two-ball Ambrose.
Showers occurred throughout the day, last Sunday, but 28 players still managed to have a ball.
Golfer Lois Mesner was pleased that six junior players played and came into their own.
She said the two-ball Ambrose style of competition encouraged younger golfers to get out on the course.
“We haven’t had that many juniors playing ever,” Ms Mesner said.
“It’s just a game where you hit two balls and take the best ball.
“You don’t have to be a member or have a handicap to play and if you have someone good with you, you can play a nice game.”
