DESPITE not having prime cattle or dairy classes on account of the drought, the show went on at Nanango at the weekend.
More than 2000 people went through the gate for an event show president Les Schloss described as a success.
Mr Schloss credited the rodeo, demolition derby and ute circle work displays for drawing the crowd numbers.
And while the dry weather had taken a toll on cattle entries, the numbers were up for the caged bird and poultry sections. The led steer and stud cattle sections had 115 entries.
