RAINFALL PROVIDES PLENTY OF PROMISE
OFFERED for auction is Howqua at The Gums.
Listing agent Andrew Kirtley, of Ray White Rural Dalby, said this property had received more than 100mm of rain last month and additional rain in early April.
Howqua offers a total area of 3845 acres (1556ha) comprising mostly self-mulching cracking clay soils.
There is about 1148ha of cultivation, including about 189ha of improved pastures and about 219ha of open grazing with natural grasses and improved pastures.
Water on Howqua is supplied by earth dam and shared bore, which supplies five concrete tanks reticulating to troughs in most paddocks.
Howqua is fenced into 14 main paddocks, with a mix of two-barb and four-plain fencing, ringlock and hinge joint fencing, and includes a set of steel panel and mesh yards, with a five-way pound, covered crush and steel loading ramp.
Improvements include a four-bedroom, two-bathroom main house with a pool and tennis court, as well as two-bedroom guest accommodation, three sheds, and 10 silos.
Howqua will be auctioned at 10.30am on Thursday, May 22, at the BMO Centre, Drayton St, Dalby.
