Bjelke-Petersen Dam: Nice yel­low­belly be­ing caught on hard bod­ied lures down deep. Pick a lure that will dive 6m plus and try trolling in the main basin. Bass are be­ing caught on blades if you can find a school of them and jig in amongst them on the points and around struc­ture. Red claw are still hit and miss but most catch­ing around 30-40 (some catch­ing more) per day.

Boondooma Dam: An­other good week on the wa­ter for some!!!! Share farm­ers out in num­bers again please if it’s not yours don’t check it. When the share farm­ers aren’t check­ing your pots good size red­claw are be­ing caught. The week started off with re­ports of 50cm + yel­lows be­ing landed trolling hard bod­ies. As the week went on the yel­lows dropped to the bot­tom and jig­ging be­came the method of choice. Bass are the ac­tive fish at the mo­ment, big and small troll or flick ev­ery­thing seems to work for the bass.

Somerset Dam: The dam has risen af­ter the rain and is now at 100% ca­pac­ity. Fish­ing might be tough with the in­flow of wa­ter, but you could try bait fish­ing for golden perch, bass and eeltail cat­fish off the banks or troll spinner baits for golden perch and bass along the newly cov­ered banks.

Coolmunda Dam: Golden perch on salt­wa­ter yab­bies and sil­ver perch on live worms through­out the dam. There has been a 7% rise in wa­ter level.

Cooby Dam: The dam has had a rise in wa­ter level to 100% ca­pac­ity. Golden perch have been caught on ver­ti­cally worked blades, trolled lures and frozen salt­wa­ter yab­bies out from the pon­toon, the buoy line at the wall and around the point op­po­site the boat ramp.

Glenlyon Dam: Golden perch on frozen salt­wa­ter yab­bies, live shrimp and trolled hard bod­ied lures and a few cod on spinner baits and live shrimp.

Les­lie Dam: Golden perch on frozen salt­wa­ter yab­bies in about 8 me­tres of wa­ter in the main basin and a few cod to 80cm on trolled lures.

Coastal: Spotty mack­erel, long­tail and mack tuna in Platy­pus Bay, spotty mack­erel around the Fair­way Buoy, flat­head and bream in Sandy Straits. Flat­head and whit­ing along the beaches from Bur­rum Heads to Uran­gan, banana prawns in the rivers and mud crabs at the mouth of the rivers and creeks In the Her­vey Bay area. Flat­head be­tween the Noosa River mouth and Te­wantin reach, sand whit­ing on the banks at the river mouth, Fry­ing Pan and Munna Point and man­grove jack in Woods Bay and Weyba Creek at Noosa. Span­ish mack­erel on Fi­dos Reef and off Black Rock, mack tuna on Palm Beach Reef, jew off the south wall at Kingscliff.

Off­shore: Span­ish mack­erel and tusk­fish on the Bar­won Banks the past few days at Mooloolaba. Span­ish and spotty mack­erel in 33m east of South­port. Snap­per, moses perch, mahi mahi, wa­hoo and trag jew around Cook Is­land and the Mud Hole at the Tweed.
