ONE of the world’s leading cruise lines, Princess Cruises has announced details of its biggest Brisbane season as cruising in Queensland continues to boom.

The cruise line’s new 2015-16 itineraries include nine months of cruises from Brisbane, with its 2000-passenger Sun Princess to be based in the city from August to November next year and sister ship Sea Princess sailing from the Queensland capital from November 2015 to April 2016.

The move reflects the increasing popularity of Princess Cruises’ holidays from Brisbane.

The extended Queensland season is a highlight of the new program, which also features Princess Cruises’ first summer season in Fremantle and the Australian debut of the 2600-passenger Golden Princess, which will be the biggest ship ever to homeport in Melbourne.

Both Sun Princess and Sea Princess will offer a range of cruises to Papua New Guinea, the South Pacific, Queensland, New Zealand as well as a new China and Japan sailing roundtrip from Brisbane in April 2015. Fares start from $1119pp for a seven-night Queensland cruise and $1629pp for a 10-night cruise to Papua New Guinea.
