Will young, reckless drivers ever learn?

Central and North Burnett Times - - VOICE OF THE BURNETT - Erica Murree

POLICE have continued their plea to motorcyclists and road users to slow down.

A motorcyclist travelling on the Bruce Hwy near Maryborough was detected travelling at 160kmh in an 80kmh zone recently.

Subsequently this motorcyclist was issued with a traffic infringement notice for $1026 and eight demerit points, with an immediate licence suspension for six months.

But what was most horrifying was that this motorcyclist was a P-plater.

He was also issued infringement notices for crossing double white lines and failing to display his P-plates.

When will this minority of young people realise it is a privilege, not a right to have a licence?

What do you think the answer is?
