CLEAN: A Stampco Electric Washer made by John W. Stamp Pty Ltd, a Melbourne engineering firm founded in 1868, is on display at the Gayndah Museum. A 1936 ad in The Argus said: "The efficient Stamp-co agitator is so gentle and yet so thorough in its action that every particle of dirt is removed without rubbing or soaking. The balloon-roll reversible wringer is electrically driven, too. The Stampco Washer makes pleasantly light work of what is otherwise one of the most fatiguing of household tasks."
